Please be aware that some dodgy bastard calling themselves ForumTeam has been sending messages to members saying that their computers have a virus.

This is a complete hoax.

Please do not reply or click on any links in the message.

Forward any such messages to me for further checking.
Please check and inform me of any suspicious mail and postings.

I have found out a bit more about this scam.

The message that was sent by fake member ForumTeam contained a link to what is supposedly an anti-virus application called Internet Security Tool 2010.

Internet Security Tool 2010 is a hoax. It is not a virus but is malware. It's purpose is to collect private info and pass this on to its creators. It only affects Windows PCs.

If you have this installed on your machine you must get rid of it ASAP.
