Only recently come across the Website - great stuff!
Brings back memories of our gang's regular Sunday night pilgrimage to see RDB. Initially entry was free but later (and what an outrage!) there was a 30p door entry!
Like many others saw RDB at the Marquee club - great gig, shame nothing came of the recording (Good ol' JK!)
Reunion @ the Standard was great after not seeing them for so long
Now living in Essex - did Terry mention Dennis and Dave play somewhere in Dunmow?
Good luck with future plans

What a nice surprise it was to find this site!
It was back in '75 that the Dagenham Roundhouse was stopping gigs, someone told us about the Bridgehouse so we went to see what it was like and I think I propped up the bar nearly every night for the next couple of years. Even after that I would drop in to see the occasional band.
Going there changed my life in a way cos it was there that I got to know the band Smiler which then lead to me being a roadie/drunken oaf for them(depending how many light&bitters I sunk). This then lead on to me being a lighting engineer working with John(Beaky) who did lights for many bands at the Bridgehouse and the Ruskin Arms as well as many other places around London. The lighting thing then lead to me becoming a promoter, something that I only stopped earlier this year. Never made any money out of all this but I had one helluva good time along the way Grin

Took up Terry's suggestion and saw Den & Dave in Great Dunmow this month. Excellent covers of Eagles / Clapton / Bryan Adams (when Den could get the beginning right!)amongst many more, but with their distinctive guitar work
A good night - recommended - will be back
