Help me out out here - which part of the pub looking at the picture was the original stage?

well looking at Colin Rapps pictures, The door far left was the upstairs bar ,enter and the stage was on the left,that was the original stage.

On the  right side enter either of them 2 doors and The new stage,was on the left  of the down stairs Bar
if you were a local the new stage was where the old pool room  was.
with the wall knock down,hope this helps

Those left hand doors were the gate to a form of paradise in my days.  Cannonball Jones and ladies who took their clothes off (or put them on) as per my post in The Fifties. 

I hope I'm not lowering the tone!!

The door on the left, by the main road was where the gigs were for free most of the time and on the old wide stage with the bar not more than two feet away.

The door on the right was where you paid 50p or more for a gig and the new stage was chest high.
You might have seen me collecting the fees.

Alas the pool table went with the new stage but what happened to the Space Invaders machine...?
