I remember RDB being the 'band' at the Bridge at the time when I stopped going. I have to say that although they had a loyal gang of followers, I found them inferior to Powerpack - and I know some of you will hate me for saying that!!

However, I've just been watching the video clips of Praying Mantis with Dennis Stratton and was totally blown away with this man's talent. Not only is he an ace guitarist but has an incredible 'soft rock' voice. I'm now a devoted fan of his!

well that nice of you ,to be honest, you should remember that powerpack, were all established musicians, had been playing for years, and R.D.B were just starting out.
and are still playing,.it is a pity we cannot get any footage of Powerpack,so we could compare ,maybe we will, one day.I have a tape of Free who use to play the bridge at that time was any of the P.P guys in that band,T.M

Hi Terry

If you are talking about 'Free' of 'Alright Now' fame, the line-up was Paul Rogers vocal, Paul Kossoff guitar, Andy Fraser bass, and Simon Kirke drums. As far as I know, nobody from PP played with them. As you kinow, there was a band called Freedom who played at the Bridge regularly, I've still got a couple of their albums - in vinyl of course!
Regards
