I'm working on the two recordings that I have. Putting them through a mixer. But, we used cheap tapes. Remember that place in Forest Gate where we used to go and buy them in bulk.................

That's great news about the book. Can't wait to see it. I hope I don't hit the same aggravation trying to get a copy over here as I'm having getting a copy of Gerry's 'Riding Shotgun'. Although, keeping my fingers crossed, I think my oldest daughter has ordered a copy for me from the UK for a Xmas gift but no one will tell me for sure. You know what women are like, they only nag you when they want something.. RIGHT.  Grin Grin Grin

OK OK I'll take the deposits for you...............................

One of our Bridge House customers,Dave Sheppard, has sent me a demo tape, of Remus Down Boulevard,
recorded in a recording studio ,when they made there attempt, into the big time with the Status Quo managment,I will be seeing Dave and Dennis soon,i will ask them about it, the remour is that Ricky Parfitt, played on it with them,Dave and Dennis were (are) great guitarists, so is Ricky, i wonder who won the battle between them.?

That tape that Dave sent to you is RDB at Riverside Studios. It came a complete circle (and half way around the world). I gave that tape to Dave Shepherd way back in 1978. RDB Riverside on Side A and for some obscure reason Lonestar on Side B.

Dave also sent the orignal cassette over to me. That's what I was waiting for before putting my tapes through a mixer. Needed to see which one had the better quaility. I have been messing around a bit with the recordings but have also been really busy with my own business interests during the run up to Christmas. But, damn that will all get back to normal later this week.

I was at the studio with RDB when the recording was done and if Ricky Parfitt was there I must have been really really drunk unless my memory is on it's way out because I don't remember that  Huh Grin

Had A meeting with Dennis Stratton, yesterday,Dennis with Dave Edwards were the backbone of Remus Down Boulevard,Dennis joined Iron Maiden after Steve Harris saw him playing at the Bridge House, He left Iron Maiden after a year or so ,and formed Lionhart, having great success in The.U.S.A. coming home he entertained the Bridge House Crowd, with Lionhart, after that he formed Praying Mantes..I have named all these bands, because a Dvd Film is to be made of his life in music,
And i am delighted to say that was why the meeting took place, so as I could have some input in the making of the films. some footage shot at the Bridge house in 1982 will be shown,RDB are back, on film

Good to know!

Terry, one observation. Dennis didn't formed Praying Mantis. He participated in a kind of a revival show with Paul Di'Anno. See the album "Live at Last" (1990). The band invited them to stay, but only Stratton get the job becoming a full member. Di'Anno left to form Killers.

If you want some more information about the career of Dennis Stratton, tell me. I would like to help in making this documentary 'cause certainly I will buy it!  Grin

One DVD for each band... This will be hard stuff!

I've said that only because Praying Mantis was formed in 1979, the year Dennis Stratton got into Maiden. But who am I to say? You're interviewing the man itself!  Smiley

It's interesting that, in fact, 4 Maiden members played in Praying Mantis.
