Terry,
I'm writing to my M.P. demanding a WY reunion gig to bring the feelgood factor back to music! Us 40+ year-olds demand it!

Well done and thanks for doing your best.
Whas there ever any WY 'T' shirts merchandised? I cant remember any being sold.
Sounds like a good business opportunity......

Hi Dell, spoke to Darren about a reunion,it is very doughtful.so i ask him to find a tribute band,to do all the wasted songs, he may have to form the band, with ordition rehearsal, etc,  it is a lot of work, also when you got to work, for your living,so unless your MP can come up with a grant ,or can he sing.we will have to remain with our memories.T.M

A WY Tribute band?
I'd play the drums for this at a drop of a hat mate - I Know 'em all ex-pat, no trouble!
But you'd never create the 'feeling' that went with the band.

I never had a Wasted Youth tee shirt but I've still got my badge! I saved all my badges from those days and have them all pinned onto a big piece of cloth. I'll see if I can take a photo of the collection and post it, so people can see which ones they recognise.  Smiley

so sad to read in the papers, the couple of goths who were beaten up over there beleaving in the goth trend, The girl was killed and her boyfriend badly beaten.
When Wasted Youth started the goth movement in 1979,it was so much Fun,seeing what the fans would dress like ,some were outragious,,but it caused much laughter and Joy.it was the same as Flower power in the 60s.lets all laugh at each other, and love all of us,anything for a laugh,Terrible shame may the young lady rest in peace.T.M

Well the 2 boys who were 15 years old killed the dedecated goth,Sophie Lancaster  and beat up her boy friend Robert Maltby, have been sentenced to life in prisonment.for as the Judge said for a merciless gang battering of her boyfreind and she was  kick to death,3 other youth were also jailed for assaulting him.It is alledged that the boys had been drinking. It is a terrible shame for all the Famiies involved.Booze in Brains out,and boy, how the boys are going to suffer just for drinking to much.As well as both sides of the poor parents, who will suffer for the rest of there lives..Could it have been avoided.
well one of my beefs is the number of pubs and boys clubs that are being closed down,if these  boys had been in a gig somewere, the fight may well have started, but someone like the publican or the organisor,or other mates would have stop it before it go so serious, thats my oppionion, do you think i am right,?all you have to do is compare the violence on the street today ,then campare it with 10 to 20 years ago, there was fights but not  as many deaths
God bless you Sophie ,get well soon Robert.and being a christian,i pray the boys learn the errors of there ways ,all the time in Prison.T.M

Sadly, I don't think these scumbags will ever think they did anything wrong. From what I could see, their parents were just as bad, treating it like one big joke in court and when they were being questioned.
I think a lot of kids can be helped through youth clubs, boxing etc, but these were a bunch of complete lowlifes who were beyond redemption.
RIP Sophie

Sorry Terry, I have been very slow in getting more pics scanned, due to manic work and rehearsing for various shows that I'm in! My scanner is out of action at the moment but I promise to get some more uploaded, including some that Sue Scott sent me. Smiley
