I've just been having a browse around the Freinds Reunited site and there's a group been formed for the Bridgehouse on there in the music and bands section! It was actually formed by one of the crowd I used to hang round with, a bloke called Phil from Dagenham and I guess he's already found this site as some of the photos look a bit familiar  Wink

Hi Terry I tried to put up a link but couldn't so if you go onto http://www.friendsreunited.co.uk/ then go into the groups bit it's in music&bands. There's a search facility on there so that should help you find it although you probably need to be registered on that site to use it.
There's already 4 members in the group there, all people that I remember from my days of drinking at the Bridge, so with any luck they'll come onto this forum as well and boost the numbers here  Smiley

They have changed it recently, there was a section called Pubs and Clubs in which the Bridgehouse was listed and has 18 names under it. It seems difficult to find that part now.
However I would imagine all those listed are on the BH site anyway.

Here a letter from Keith Shepard the Drummer in Slowbone that did so much to get the venue going  when i took over in 1975
,some  ajustments to be made
.Barry is  Lee Hart, Dennis is Stratton
The Jive aces guy ,took Linda Daughter Glastra on a few dates,Linda is Glens wife
good to here from you Kieth got a picture of you somewere i will find and post,
Hi Terry
Its, been a long time! Keith Shepherd here, drummer with Slowbone, as you know I am still playing, live in Norfolk now, but keeping me hand in, playing Rock and Roll with a Rock-a-Billy outfit from Norwich, getting plenty of work and doing a few all dayers in the summer, must say miss the old stuff though this is a bit tame, still at my age can't expect too much.

Hows the family all ok, met a bloke at one of the gigs in Arendal last summer, hes in the Jive Aces, recons he went out with Linda? Saw Lloyd about 11 years ago when I was playing with Dennis at the John Bull at Bethnal Green.

I have spoke to Barry a few times, we were going to meet up, but could'nt get it together, I still have contact with Jim, he's still in Germany, 3 kids, usuall scetch, but Jeff, who knows, if you can, let me know more about the book release etc, it should make good reading, well that'll do for now mate, hope you had a good christmas, and a happy new year,

Regards, Keith

PS, whens Glen on TV again?
