Thanks Baztac, Classic rock mag award, great,i called up Maiden web page it is amazing how many awards they have won over the years, and here we are 30 years later they are still winning.I know one man does not make a band but the guts and determination Steve Harris has shown over the years ,he deserve a knighthood, the amount the band have generated in sales along ,and the income tax they have paid ,must be mind boggling, and i know first hand he does a lot of charity work,When ever My son Glen has a charity football match he is always there to play, and mingle with the crowds,
he is a great Man And i might Add from the East End of London. My Manor T.M

At last, a Corvettes add from the Bridge! It certainly was our band. I have just found out that some of the guys from my school who asked me to sing for them, ended up in a band called Terraplane, who went on to become Thunder.
Did they ever play at the Bridge?

Hello Terry, I know of the Groundhogs and quite like a lot of their stuff. I dont know if there has been more than one Terraplane? My mate was called Rudi Rivierre (real name) and was a good footballer at school. He broke his leg badly and was given a guitar to keep him busy whilst recovering. After that there was no stopping him.
Last time I saw him (25 years ago) he was making a living playing on cruise ships. He must have done ok as I have been told he has his own studio in Maida Vale.
Can any of the metal heads clear this one up for us?
Good luck to Maiden, I would rather watch them than the X Factor. Talking about that pile of crap did you know that David Hayes fight tonight has been put back a couple of hours so that it doesnt clash with the sh*te factor! What is the world coming to?

It was two different bands

Tony McPhee's Terraplane featured Tony McPhee, Wilgar Campbell and Alan Fish. some info from

There is a couple of photos of Terraplane (Thunder) 1982 & 1985 respectively. I think they were formed in 1982
