Hi, Just found this forum. Couldn't believe seeing my name as one of the first to order A Week At The Bridge. My wife and I were regulars between 1977-79. The first bands we saw there were Powerpack and Wedgewood (later RDB). Sad that we missed the reunions though. I noticed that the dates shown for the orders are a bit wrong. The first is OK (1978) but I know the others are wrong as I was in the 5th month of a broken leg on the date you have shown as me ordering the album! Also re: the picture of the receipt. It may sound sad but I can see on the previous page my name in reverse. Any chance of a scan of my page (my piece of history)? As well as the Week At The Bridge Album I have High Dives for Low Balls (signed to us by Lea Hart) (Roll Ups) and Penfriend (Dogwatch) as well as the Blackmail single (Roll Ups). However the Bridge Album still holds pride of place in my vinyl collection.
Looking forward to reading the book and being kept updated with developments.
Ron.

Hi Terry,
You are of course right about my dates. Age has obviously fogged my memories a bit. I used to go to the Bridge years before 1977 with my cousin and some mates. We had a couple of early pints in the Trossachs, a few games of bar billiards then to the Bridge for our fix of good music......GREAT DAYS!
Ron.
P.S. How do I get to my page in the receipt book?

If I'm not No.1 is it to do with the fact that I was 'only' nearly 15 when I first played the Bridge?

the age was 18 to be allowed in pubs,so you have a penalty of 3.shots,so you lay 4th if you are deemed the first, however as with your handicapp you can get shots back,by being the most loyal member,so the committe will, give you a shot back, ever time you give imformation to the web site. memories, stories, good Lies, what the best Lie you have ever told appart from making out you were 18,T,M

Hi everyone, we were at a gig a week ago,or so ago,we were talking Guitar players and i was asked ,who did i think, was the best,Guitarist to Play the Bridge house , ,i said i alway liked Geoff Whitehorne , but when you start to think ,we had Rory Gallagher, who was at one time voted the best in the world  in1968.
the duels on stage between Dave Edwards and Dennis Stratton are legendary, Mick Clark of Salt ,was a great player, Bernie  Torme, Chris Thompson I can go ,on thinking ,but then forget that certain person,So tell us  who do you think was a great Lead guitarist who you saw at the bridge house?,Terry M

My favourite guitarists would have to be Brian Setzer (Stray Cats) coz I love rock n roll and he sounded like two people playing at the same time. Also Mike Rossi when he was in the Monsters. They were like a british version of the Heartbreakers (Johnny Thunders band) good time RnR all the way. It is criminal that no one knows about them.
