Well as another year comes to a close we wish everone a happy and joyfull Christmas.Jeff and i have have some really good ideas for next year,CDs DVDS ,the Bridge House singles collection, where apart from all the singles that were released on our label, there were many that for some reason or another never made it,so they will be out this year,as bonus tracks. Some Video shot at the Bridge, we hope to digitally, remaster them to be released on DVD. Also there are many live recording, that we hope we can clean up , for release, they will not be perfect, but when you listen to them, you are right back in the Bridge House. We have as a example. Chris Thompsons Filthy McNasty with guest Huey Lewis. and many others. Colin Rapp ,is also remasteing some of our old tapes, recorded at the Bridge House, so lets hope they sound good. 2007, watch this space

Well, I've copied the tapes that I have and the one that dave Shepherd sent to me from England. I just want to clean them up a little more and further reduce the bass.
I'll be putting a snippett from the RDB tape up on the forum later this week.

We have today posted on our web site details of Dennis Stratton,First dvd, of the time he joined Iron Maiden, This was the start of a wonderfull career for Iron Maiden and Dennis is pleased that he played a major part. The band are still gigging to this day.
The second Dvd will be released a bit later, and it will feature a interview with, Dennis and Terry Murphy, and others ,talking about the good times they had when Dennis and Dave Edwards formed Remus Down Boulevard, and were one of the major bands who played the Bridge house,We have live footage of the band playing there and this will be shown on the dvd. Third dvd. will be Dennis time with Lionhart, which he also played the bridge house with. Forth his time with Praying Mantus..

God... a Dennis Stratton anthology! Too good to be true. First Bruce Dickinson, now him... He passed just one year with Maiden, but his history starts before that and goes far after.
That's what I think Adrian Smith could do starting from the Urchin days. He is another guy that had some bands and, if i'm sure, played at the Bridgehouse...

I like the Radio, its like hearing a new band, you do not know what to expect next, I was listening to Radio 2 a couple of Sundays ago,Clive Anderson was standing in for Parkinson .Art Garfunkel was the guest ,talking about his times and how he and Paul Simons started and then broke up,when this happened he said ,i formed a new band with Nicky Hopkins who played piano ,hearing this i remembered that Nicky use to come to the Bridge house to play, the first time i met him was when he was playing with Chris Thompson, when Chris formed Night,he was nice and we all got on well,i new at this time that he had played on a regular basis with the Rolling Stones. After hearing Art tell his tales,I looked up Nicky on a Google search, unbelieveble career he had, then it comes up that he died in 1994.he was replaced by Cliff Carter on piano,in Garfunkel band,so sad to die so young he was about 50. And would you believe the next Day on Cliff Evan Radio show, a lady Called Mary was telling how she went to the Nottinghill carnaval, will Steve Waller, she was saying what a great musician he was,i did know he died also in the 90s. but yes he was great ,he played many many times for me,and is on the Live a week at the Bridge house Album, fronting The Gerry McAvoy band. they have both gone but have left behind ,some great Music. So thanks to the radio for the info.about Nicky. l

listening to Ken Bruce on BBC ,Radio 2 on Friday Morning, back to back songs of 2 of our regulars at the Bridge House,Paul Youngs ,hit single Toast, which he released while playing in the Street band, who play a lot of gigs for me, his next band was The Q Tips. who were regulars He kept all the band with him when he had a single career. Next up, all time Bridge house favourite Chris Thompson, singing his version on the War of the Worlds Jeff Wayne hit Album ,it was great to here, even though he kept being interupted by some bloke called Richard Burton. pity the great actor is not around now,as it happens his wife Liz Taylor son played for me at the Bridge house,i am not sure if he was the son of Michael Wilding,or Nicky Hilton,I wonder what happened to him?
