Some months ago I created another topic asking for more gig dates (this can be deleted now 'cause no one used it). If we do a search on other topics there are dates going here and there...

I think we should do a unique topic or you guys make a repository for everyone`s posting dates.

Just found a good demo tape by MOTLEY CREW,I googled it,and it seems it is a American bamd.
can anyone tell me if there was a English version,i would have recieved the tape in the late 70s.
written on the tape were contacts and copyright owners of the song Roger and Allan  0734 telephone number there was a extra digit added in the 80s,i believe this band come from Sheffield
Song titles on the tape are.1.She is the Girl.2.Alice.3.City Girl.4.Juke Boy.5.Long time no See.
Any help would be welcome. It could be the guys were over from the states trying to get gigs.
we did have a few  American bands come over,Thanks Terry M

It is definitley not the American band Motley Crue (Tommy  Lee, Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx and Mick Mars) who formed in 1981 in Los Angeles.
Other than that I have no idea.

Thanks Baz,the interesting part of the line up you have give us for Motley crew,is that Tommy Lee
was a member of The Stray Cats, who played for me on the old stage which was before we change to the new stage , in early 1980..did he marry a well know Actress? Hope some of our other members, maybe able to help, but big thanks for giving us the info ,Keep it coming.Terry M

Hi Terry,

It's kind impossible to find an obscure band with the name of an expression and also of a famous american band.

But I know some sites I can count in in the last minute. Incredibly Vinyltap is selling a 1980's single from this Motley Crew you're talking. But I don't know anything about their label CHERRYS.

http://www.vinyltap.co.uk/shop/item/498013416983767.aspx

Hope this to be a start...

Stray Cats only ever played on the new stage. Positive about that. Supporting Matchbox and the Flying Saucers I think.
