Looking for a site I can listen to an MP-3 snippet of the song "Walkin' the Dog" from 1978. I want to make sure this is the band before I buy.

The track is on the Live A week at the Bridge CD. on the Gerry McAvoy jam.Steve Waller sings it, its one of my favourites because they make a nice dedication to me in the lyrics.I will speak to .Jeff tomorrow to see if he can set it up, for you to hear.on your .MP3 Regards Terry

Thanks Terry - The track I'm trying to find was played at a nightclub in Berlin in 1979 called the Tolstefanz and it seems to be a variation of walkin the dog with reference to the bridge house. I can't find the lyrics via Google. Am hoping this is it because it is the best version of walkin the dog I've ever heard. I could also e-mail you an mp-3 snippet of the song to verify if you can't get the song online. Please let me know. Thanks much. By the way - My e-mail address is Terry.Daugherty@nike.com

Attached is a link to a small snippet of the tune that refers to the lyrics you mentioned. It is Gerry McAvoys Jam version of 'Walking the Dog' taken from the 'Week at the Bridge House Live' album I'm sure that it is the version you are after. Walking the Dog

Terry,
Reading up on all the info about the Bridge House you sound like a guy that could really help me out in identifying a handful of songs I dubbed from tape to CD. Basically, I'm trying to ID the artist and the song so I can acquire the digital version to re-record. If you're interested in listening to some of these I wouldn't hesitate to pay a finders fee for the information. Interested?

Terry Murphy,
Received Live: A week at the Bridge last night. I purchsed it for Gerry McAvoy Jam as this is far and away the best ever version of Walkin' the Dog. To my amazement the entire CD is Super!!! This is real rock and although I will never have the opportunity to physically visit the Pub, listening to this CD takes me there. I highly recommend it to others. Thanks a lot again for your help.

Thank you Terry,it is always nice to hear,That you enjoyed the CD.Unfortunetly, the old Bridge house was pulled down 4 years ago,to make way for a Motor way. Thats why i started this web site,to keep the old memories going.Steve Waller who sang walking the Dog,died in the year 2,000. H e joined Manfred Manns earth band after Manfred saw him at the Bridge,a sad loss. All the Bridge house Product will be on Cd soon. Gerry McAvoy made a album and single with us,Steve on it as well.We only have Vinyl copies, i will soon change that.Regards Terry M

Gerry had a gig in Italy a few days ago. He's playing down in Somerset tonight and then he's off to Italy again to play at a blues festival later in the week. He most probably left his laptop at home.
