This gig is being run by Rebellion Festivals and all the relevant info can be found here
 http://www.rebellionfestivals.com/rebellion-cocksparrer.html

I saw CockSParrer play at the Wasted Festival in Blackpool last year and I can say that they still are well worth seeing Smiley

And there are a couple of old bands at this festival, having a revival: Slaughter and the Dogs and UK Subs. I wonder where these bands have been after all those punk years...

I can't remember when Cocksparrow changed their name to CockSParrer but it was quite some time ago, possibly early 80's.
The UK Subs still have the same name officially it's just that they seem to have acquired the nickname of the Subs whenever anyone talks about them.

Hi Terry,

I rekon it was - vocalist Colin McFaull, guitarist Mick Beaufoy, bassist Steve Burgess, and drummer Steve Bruce, then our old mate Gary Lammin on guitar really shortly after, and known as Cock Sparrer, but Dave may know better than me.

As far as I know Steve's answer is right and the original spelling is Cocksparrow, you may find out some more from their website http://www.sparrer.fsworld.co.uk/

Hope this is in time, I've only just seen it as I've been at work all week.
