OK. Come on guys. Who remembers SCARECROW. The regular Saturday night hard rock band from the mid 70's.
This was the band that used to pack the house out every Saturday night. This was the band that started my involvement with Terry. This was the band that I and many others got drunk to....................
I can remember having to stagger all the way home to Forty Acre Lane every Saturday night and then waking up Sunday with a God almighty hangover. Oh boy. Those were the Good Old Days.
I often look back and wish that I had pictures and recordings of Scarecrow. I'm hoping TM can write a few words with the names of the musicians etc. What about you Peter C. You were an headbanger in those days too. They quit playing at The Bridge just before the Live A Week At The Bridge was recorded. If I remember right they got a regular gig over at a pub in North London.
Anybody out there know if any of the band members carried on with thier musical career. I'm sure that we can find out more if we had the names to work with.
Terry, are you mentioning Scarecrow in the book.
Damn, that used to make a very long weekend. Slowbone Fridays. Scarecrow Saturdays. RDB Sundays and Mondays.
Let's have some input from all you old punters on this one.

yes a nice letter Colin,we should not forget the bands who started at the Bridge house,Scarecrow being one of them, they played for me for the first year of my residency at the pub.so they would have left about the end of1976.the album was made in 1978
They came to see me in the 90s at the pressing plant,in Stratford and i have a couple of albums they made,i guess we must have press them for them,I will have a search to see if i still have them.I think i made a google search for them years ago, and i remember there were pictures of all the band with there names attached,on the old stage,at the Bridge, i will check with Jeff , to see if we kept them .i will get back if we have

Scarecrow at the Bridgehouse.
Very early days. Note Rita's paintings on the wall behind the band, before the days of posters.

Is that one of mine ? It looks as if it was taken from over the glass racks at the end of the bar where I used to climb up. Who remembers the time when I was drunk as a sack standing up there taking pictures and I stepped back into thin air and cracked my head on bottle shelves.

Well i hope this is good news for a few of our loyals from the Bridge Days ,on one of my searches in the garage, came across some recording of Scarecrow as i think back i remember Dave the Drummer visiting me ,,and gave me some records or tapes, cannot remember what, they are live tracks and could have been recorded at the Bridge,So if any off scarecrow or there friend read this get in touch with me ,,Rappo was very keen a while back ,but he has not been in touch for a year or so,I hope all okay with him, T.M just read the other posts, they were records, i guess .Dave must have gave me tapes of these recordings, they do sound dubbed, sorry
